What We Do.

Women building low cost housingWe support community-based daily savings amongst the urban poor as a mechanism for organizing and mobilizing resources needed for undertaking development interventions.

We support community-based profiles, enumerations and mapping of slums as tools for generating information critical for engagement with the state and other relevant stakeholders.

We support community-led piloting of alternative superstructure and infrastructure, technologies and scaling up of best practices in low-income housing for the urban poor.

We promote participation of marginalized communities in particular women in urban development projects.

We promote community-centred exposure visits as important learning platforms for the urban poor, local authorities, central government and other relevant stakeholders.

We promote community-led upgrading of informal settlements through community-state partnerships
